The Ellis Expedition – EFT take on the challenge

By July 13, 2020EFT Group

It is with great sadness that Mr Graham Ellis, the Southport rugby club president passed away late June having fought illness for some time. To honour his name and celebrate all he did for the club, SRFC have headed out to cover the distance from Southport to the south pole 16,000km. They have smashed this target and have increased it to 72,000km! Funds raised will go to the Southport and Ormskirk Hospital charity.

Here at EFT group we would love to join the team and help them with this target. We have pledged to go for 2,000KM and we need everyone’s help to achieve this! You can run, walk, canoe, climb! Whatever takes your fancy to get us to the target. There will be a leader board for the most competitive of you out there and some prizes for the top three!

How do we join the fun

Well firstly you need to download the Strava app (free of charge) https://www.strava.com/register/free?cta=sign-up&element=global-header&source=website_mobile , you then need to clock your miles in your given format any time from this evening until the 31st July. You then need to add yourself on to the team by going to this link and adding your Strava details in. https://www.challengehound.com/join/8a7b9900-c103-11ea-bec6-1b67018b65ce

So please, if your out for a jog, walking the dog, doing your pub crawl, make sure you clock your miles on Strava to help raise money for our local hospital,

Good luck and lets have some fun! #theellisexpedition
